Who We Are

Our Story

Ikhlas Community Centre was founded with a single purpose: to create a space where Muslims in Auburn and Western Sydney could come together to worship, learn, and grow.

The name Ikhlas comes from the Arabic word for sincerity and purity of intention. It reflects our core belief that everything we do, from every class we run to every event we host to every door we open, must be done with sincerity for the sake of Allah.

We serve a diverse and vibrant community. Whether you are a lifelong resident of Auburn or new to the area, whether you are looking for Quran classes for your children or a place to pray, Ikhlas is your home.

We offer a range of ongoing programs designed to serve every member of our community, from the youngest learners to adults seeking knowledge and connection.

Quran Classes
Children & Adults
Weekly Quran classes for all levels. Learn tajweed, recitation, and tafseer with experienced and qualified teachers. Classes available for children aged 5+ and adults of all levels.
Beginner to Advanced Weekly Sessions
Youth Programs
Ages 12–25
Empowering Muslim youth in Auburn through Islamic education, leadership workshops, and community engagement activities. We aim to build confident, grounded young Muslims.
Leadership & Mentoring Weekly Activities
Friday Lectures
Open to All
Regular Friday evening lectures on Islamic topics, community events, and special programs throughout the year, including Ramadan nights, Eid celebrations, and visiting scholars.

Sports & Fitness
All Ages
Community sports program including futsal, basketball, and fitness sessions. Promoting health, teamwork, and brotherhood through physical activity in accordance with Islamic values.

Adhan times are calculated daily for Auburn, NSW (−33.8494°, 151.0249°) using the Muslim World League method, the same method used by IslamicFinder, and are confirmed each day against the AlAdhan prayer time service. Iqamah times are set by the musallah. Where an iqamah is recorded as an offset (for example "20 mins after adhan") it follows the adhan automatically through the year. Committee members can update these via the admin panel ( button, lower left).
